LAX to see $1.3B upgrade in Los Angeles, California

LAX has awarded two contracts to build new concourses and also to upgrade the terminal so it can handle larger jets. The Los Angeles City Council must now approve of the project.

Airport commissioners on Monday approved the $1.3B in construction contracts for upgrades to LAX. These improvements would especially be seen at the main entryway and also at the departure area for international travelers at LAX. Two contracts have been awarded to Walsh Austin Joint Venture.
